DIY Glitter/Snow Globe!+ Get to know more about me!

So, I’m going to save best for last so I will do the get to know more about me tag later but, for now.. I need to do a craft because I haven’t done one yet and the entire point of my blog is to expand people’s knowledge on crafts. Bottom line, I am going to show you how to make a DIY Glitter/Snow Globe.

 

MATERIALS:

• A jar (for example, a Mason Jar)
• Glitter/Fake snow powder (you can also just use white or transparent colored glitter to make it look like snow, this is what I recommend)
• A small structure to go inside the jar (a small toy will do but, you can also go out and buy some small structure. Make sure it is a hard structure so that we will be able to glue the structure to the jar.
• Distilled Water (normal water is also usable but, I highly recommend distilled water)
• OPTIONAL: Small Decor (ribbon, jewels etc.)

DIRECTIONS

1. Open mason jar and set the glass part of the jar aside and put the lid in front of you.
2. Flip the lid over so that it looks like a tray (the top of the lid should be backing down)
3. Take your small structure and put glue on the bottom part of it (for example, if it’s an animal then put glue on the bottom of it’s legs)
4. Take the structure and place it onto the jar’s lid. Make sure it is centered and where you want it to be. I recommend putting it on a raised platform to see it clearly. To do this you can simply take some clay and mold it, used a lego or use the lid of another smaller jar. Make sure the platform is hard.
5. Put the lid aside to dry, I recommend one or two hours but, it really depends on your glue.
6. Once the glue has dried, test it to make sure it won’t fall off by giving it a small and gentle push
7. Next, take the jar and fill it with your water all the way to the top
8. Add as much glitter/snow as you would like but, make sure you do not over do it. I recommend a 2:1 ration for the water to glitter/snow
9. Add glue to the part of the jar where the lid screws on and quickly screw on the lid. This will ensure no leaks and it will make sure the lid won’t be able to be screwed off.
10. Lastly, add some decor to the lid by adding a ribbon and you’re done

Now isn’t this great! We have finally finished the DIY! My first DIY that is. The best DIY in the world!

This can be given during any occasion because you are able to choose the structure inside which is what shows your peers what the globe is about. It’s the center of attention, like I always am ;)! *Flips hair* Just kidding!

APPEARANCE

Hair color: Really, really dark brown. It sometimes even looks black!

Hair length: It ends just below my hip, if I let it down. *flips hair* 😉

Eye Color: Brown. Like many people, I have brown eyes and I’m not special. Lol, Just Kidding 😂 *flips hair*

Best Feature: I don’t know but, if I have to say something I like about my appearance, it’s my eyes because I like big eyes and my eyes are big, according to my friends *wink wink May*😂

Braces:Yes, I currently have braces on my top and bottom teeth and I have a year and a half before I can get them off. RIP

Piercings: Only your typical  the common ear piercings! I plan to get a second piercing on both my ears in the future though.

Tattoos: NOPE! I’m not a Risky person in general! 😂

Right or Left: Righty! I’m not special, I’m like all others. RIP. Just Kidding! 😂

FIRSTS

Real Holiday: I went to Six Flags when I was about 3 and I was so scared of all the roller coasters so my parents were stuck with me in the kids area. I’m sorry mom and dad!😂

Best Friend: I moved away from her and we don’t really talk that much but, it was a girl named Nicole and we would always =hang out. Our favorite thing to do was put an Oreo on our forehead and try to get it into our mouth!

Award: I won first place for having the best Science Experiment out of the state and explaining my project really well. Ths was around fourth grade.

Sport: Tennis, my whole family plays tennis and I started when I wa about 5.

Concert: I honestly don’t remember, lol.

Shop: Abercrombie and Fitch, I love their clothing and target material that they make ufrt out of.

It’s my BIRTHDAY *flips hair*

So, today I decided to get out of bed early and I was taking off my blanket and stepping down. I make it to the floor. I walk but, then I just had to not watch where I was going. I jam my toe into the side of my wooden bed. I tumbled onto the floor in pain. I looked at my toe which was perfectly fine except it was a little red. Small injuries like these matter. THEY REALLY HURT! I decide to get back up and continue with my day.

Around noon, I check if my fidget spinner that I ordered on Amazon had arrived yet. NOPE! It was going to be delayed! “Could this day get any worse!” NOPE! The rest of the day went by pretty smoothly. PHEW!

What I couldn’t do was sleep, the very next day was going to be my birthday. It was May 30th today and tomorrow… tomorrow’s was going to be my Birthday! I rolled and rolled in bed, I even tried to pull an all nighter but, I fell asleep. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Happy Birthday!

Oh my gosh! It’s already been a year of being twelve. I am officially entering the teen years and I can’t wait!*flips hair* Any advice? Actually, I don’t need any, I’m perfect *flips hair* I’M JUST KIDDING! That was so self centered. I don’t know what I am saying in this excitement.

This past year has been so adventurous. So many ups and downs and I had my amazing friends to help me through them (like you May @Forever and Everly) I feel like this year went by so fast! The most recent things from the past year is… EXAMS. I hate those. I hate those a lot. (comment “Yes” if you hate exams)*flips hair*

I have met so many new people through the hardest times of my life and I just want to take a moment to thank all of you.*flips hair* All of my followers also helped me through these times and i am so happy that I got to make a blog and meet all you kind people! *flips hair*

So, now I have a whole year ahead of me. What are my goals? I don’t have a lot of them but, they are very important. *flips hair*

• Have more than 100 followers on my blog
• Eat chocolate
• Flip my hair more

Those are my current goals. If you have more Ideas please tell me but, as you can see I am very creative with my goals and I have a lot. (I have three and that’s a lot for me) *FLIPS HAIR*

I’ll save my gifts for another time. Right now, I’m going to explain  my day. It’s very interesting! *flips hair* (please note that for some reason I wrote this in second person and “her” is referring to me)

7:30- Wakes up but is too lazy to get out of bed.

8:00- Still in bed (don’t judge, I’m a lazy person in general)

8:05- Gets woken up by a hyper brother who decides to yell Happy Birthday in her ear.

8:10- Finally gets out of bed after her parents tell her Happy Birthday as well.

8: 15- Brushes Teeth (yes I brush my teeth before I eat my breakfast, I already told you! I am a weird person)

8: 23- Takes a shower (sings while taking a shower and thinks about life)

8:30- Picks out an outfit (this will take a while)

8:45- Puts on outfit and is unsatisfied.

9:00- Picks out another outfit and puts it on.

9:05-Puts in her contacts (sometimes it might fall out and this will anger her, it’s very annoying, you people out there who wear contacts understand)

9:10- Eats Breakfast (pancakes which was made by her mom. They were cut into hearts) *flips hair*

9:15- Opens Gifts and is very, very, very happy.

9:30- Eat food

9:35- Remember how much she love food

9:40- Calls relatives from India.

11:00- Makes Lunch. What do you think she made? Homemade Pizza fam!

12:00- EAT! EAT! EAT! EAT! EAT! EAT! EAT! EAT!

1:00- Socialize with my friends, I have very few *flips hair*. I’m just kidding! 😂

3:00- Realizes she has been on her phone for two hours.

4:00- Still on her phone.

5:00- Cuts the cake and eats it. She gets the biggest piece because she is “special”

Here I am typing another blog post which seems to be very boring (like my life) *flips hair JUST KIDDING! 😂

Quote Discussion #1: A True Friend (like me) *flips hair*

Have you ever had that one good friend? I hope so! (I will also be your true friend by the way-if you want me to ) A true friend doesn’t have to be your bestie, BFF or BFFL (I remember when I was in 3rd grade I used to use those terms a lot- I don’t know why-don’t judge) *flips hair*

So, back on topic… I was going to talk about this quote. It states that true friends aren’t about being inseparable. Now, don’t get confused! *flips hair* (i’m always confused if you don’t know by the way so, I don’t blame you) They are intending to tell you that being a true friend isn’t about being physically inseparable.

Many times, you may not be able to say with your friend forever, you may have to go a different route because of having to move away, move schools, move or change jobs and maybe even other personal causes. *tear* 

The second portion of this quote says that even when you are physically separate, nothing changes. It means that distance shouldn’t matter, you should talk and be friends at any cost. No matter your physical distance, your metal distance should stay the same, this is true friendship.

Ok, I can’t make this post so boring, I need to help you sweet people! I will explain to you, what makes a good quote step by step and each and everything you need to know. *flips hair* (cause I’m smart fam! Just Kidding 😂) 

HOW TO MAKE A GOOD QUOTE:

(in five steps) *flips hair*

1.Pick a topic that you like (friendship, relationship, love, life etc.) When you do this, try to be as precise as possible. For example, you can either choose (in the relationship category) how to have a good relationship or what to do in a relationship. The topic should be personally appealing. *flips hair* (I know what you are thinking, why did I flip my hair, the answer is: I don’t know). If you have personal experience with that topic, it’s even better! Just make sure you are connected to that topic, have a lot of information about it and have at  least a little bit of experience with it.

2. Figure out what you are intending to say. What message are you trying to portray to your audience and what ages will your audience be? Will they be kids, teens or adults. This will help you figure out the types of words you want to use (you don’t want to use big words with small children) and you also what to know if the quote will be appropriate for that age group. You wouldn’t want to be talking about love with 5 year olds! 😂

3. Articulate the message. Use words that really stand out. For this step, you may want to use a Thesaurus. Instead of saying nice you can say incredible or wonderful. Use similes and metaphors to make it easier and fun to read! (like my blog! I’m just kidding😂) *flips hair* Don’t go too over the top though (just like I go too over the top with flipping my hair) *flips hair* The phrase should be short and meaningful. Many people (including the lazy me) don’t want to go through and read a long message. Bottom line, it should be short, simple, self-explanatory and easy to paint an image of.

4. Make it personal for all. From the first step, you know that you should personally connect to it. But, you should keep in mind that the quote should be appealing to not only you but, your audience as well because that who you are making the quote for! They should be able to relate in some way.

5. Lastly, make sure you are happy and revise it once or twice and you’re done!TWO IMPORTANT THINGS:

First Post! Hello and Welcome!

Hello! My name is Neela Willow and welcome to my blog, Crafting with Charm. I can’t explain to you how happy I am to finally be able to start a blog! I’ve always wanted to start one and here I am!

If there’s one thing in the world I love to do, it’s sharing my ideas and feelings with people. I finally get to do this and you guys will be able to reply! YAS!
